MetLife was founded on a simple, powerful insight: Everyone needs access to the right financial tools to pursue more from life. Since 1976, MetLife Foundation has provided more than $700 million in grants to make a positive difference for the people, families and our communities. See how we’re making an impact.

In 1986, the MetLife Foundation established the annual awards for Medical Research in Alzheimer’s Disease to combat the growing incidence of Alzheimer’s in an aging America. These annual grants of up to $500,000 have recognized nearly every significant advance in Alzheimer's disease research, including 4 scientists who have gone on to win Nobel Prizes.

MetLife – Recognition & Praise
Year over year MetLife is recognized as a top company, which is a testament to our commitment to our customers, employees and the communities we serve:

  • Each year, MetLife’s employee resource group, DiverseAbilities, hosts a team of employees, friends and family members for the Easter Seals Annual Walk With Me & 5K Run at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. This national fundraising event raises awareness and support for families living with disabilities.

  • Each October in conjunction with National Disability Employment Awareness Month, MetLife associates volunteer as mentors for Disability Mentoring Day (DMD), a nationwide effort to promote career development for students and job seekers with disabilities. In 2015, MetLife hosted DMD at 10 offices across the U.S.

MetLife Veterans – Honoring Your Experience & Ability to Lead
Veterans leave the military with discipline, ability to lead and passion for service akin to our core values. As a company that is regularly recognized on GI Jobs’ Military Friendly Employers list, MetLife does more than simply welcome veterans to our team.
