How our employees have raised funds for the Special Olympics

HII encourages employees to connect with their communities, including volunteering and serving on boards and commissions. At our Ingalls Shipbuilding division, this commitment has resulted in the annual “5K on the Causeway,” a 5K run sponsored by the company that promotes health and wellness while raising thousands of dollars for the Special Olympics.

Additionally, hundreds of Ingalls employees volunteer their time at the Special Olympics Mississippi games annually and engage in event fundraising efforts.
